2019 AGM

Dear Members,

In advance of the commencement of winter training in readiness for the 2019 season, the Club’s AGM has been fixed for 4pm on Sunday 27 January 2019 at the Clubhouse, Effingham & Leatherhead Rugby Club, King George V Playing Fields, Effingham. It is an important event as it lays the groundwork for the forthcoming season and provides Members with the opportunity to ‘have their say’ as to how the Club is run and what it spends its money on.

Appointment of the Committee and Senior Club Captains. Current holders of Committee and Club XI posts are:-

• Chairman – Paul Stroud
• Vice Chairman – David Roberts
• Treasurer – Ryan Green
• Secretary (Vacant)
• Child Welfare Officer (Vacant)
• Membership Secretary (Vacant)
• Fixture Secretary – Josh Farrell
• Youth Development Officer – Martin Keay
• 1 XI Captain – Ed Cooper
• 2 XI Captain (Vacant)
• Sunday Captain (Vacant)

You will note that we have vacancies in several key posts, so please consider if you wish to join the committee. If you need any more information on any of the roles, please contact us asap.
The rest of the committee are willing to stay on for another year but that should not stop anyone who would like to be considered for a post from putting themselves forward. If you wish to nominate yourself please submit your nomination(s) and second(s) to [email protected] by 4pm on 1 January 2019.

Nominations received on behalf of other people will not be accepted.

A formal agenda for the AGM will follow shortly, but we urge you to put the above date in your diary and come along and contribute to the discussion about the future of your Club.
