Effingham’s U15’s fell short of their target in an early Sunday morning match versus Teddington Town U15’s. The visitors batted first and at 47-8, Effingham were looking in control. However, thanks to a ninth wicket unbroken stand of 56 between Meyer (32no) and Cranston (16no), Teddington reached a respectable total of 103-8 in their 20 overs. Ben Dawson was the leading wicket taker for Effingham with 4-26, and Conor Foley impressed with figures of 2-2 in 2 overs.

Effingham’s innings never really got established and apart from George Nicoll, whose 11 was the only score in double figures, the result was never in doubt. Eight of the dismissals were bowled, with Freddie Stoter doing the most damage with 3-12 in 3 overs, and Effingham finished with a total of 55 all out.
