DESCRIPTION:Join Vice Chairman Dave Roberts as he hosts another of the highly competitive and hugely entertaining golf days. Taking place at the wonderful Effingham Golf Club\, where the course is maintained by our very own groundsman\, Gary Holland. \nThe golf day takes place on Friday 28th July from 1pm. Cost is approximately £20 and includes a bacon roll. \nAll members and their friends are invited to join us on the fairways on the day – competition format to be determined later\, but everyone welcome from hackers to single handicappers. \nIf you have any questions please let us know. Early confirmation of participation allows us to reserve the correct amount of tee-times with the club. \nContact Dave Roberts at robertsd04@hotmail.co.uk to sign up! \nEffingham Golf Club Course\nThe splendid listed clubhouse epitomises Effingham Golf Club’s traditional values\, while the brand new bunkers on 12 of our 18 holes clearly demonstrate the Club’s progressive outlook and desire constantly to improve its fine\, Colt/Mackenzie-designed Championship golf course. \nSince Harry Colt first created the course in the 1920’s\, the club has hosted numerous prestigious events\, including the regional qualifier for The Open Championship from 2006 to 2010. \nThe club was also delighted to host the Southern Regional Qualifier for the English Men’s Open Amateur Stroke play Championship\, in May 2014.

DESCRIPTION:Back for 2017\, the Effingham Cricket Club Race Night returns for another evening of high octane entertainment for all the family. This is the main fundraising event of the season and the only thing we ask our members to support. Please do come along with the whole family and have a great time whilst helping raising much needed funds for your Club. \nHow it works:\nThe Club hires a professional race night organiser who presents a series of very exciting horse races\, most of which have close finishes.  Each adult ticket bought includes a horse entered into one race. There are prizes for owners of race winning horses and our own in-house bookmaker available to take your bets on each race. \nTickets:\n£15 per adult\, includes Fish (or sausage) and Chips AND a horse in one race.\nChildren under 15 come free. Fish and Chips £5 per child. \nRace Sponsorship:\n£50-£100 per race. If you\, or your company\, would like to sponsor an individual race then we have very attractive sponsorship packages available from just £50 per race. Naturally\, as this is a fundraising evening\, the sponsorship packages come with very few benefits\, in fact there are absolutely none whatsoever.  What we can provide are sincere thanks on behalf of the Club for anyone able to support us. \nBox Office:\nPlease contact Ryan Green to book your tickets. Ryan will require the names of ticket holders\, the names you want for your horses (the more amusing the better) and details of food orders.
